ABI's Positions

Austria has been increasingly investing in the development of the biotech community over the last years – and there is still more potential for further development. Nationwide, several centres of excellence were established. To position Austria in the very top among the European countries, the legal  framework has to be improved., in order to enure to the benefit of the Austrian-based  companies, their employees and their customers (who are mainly patients). 

ABI focuses on  three political areas,  where certain measures can be implemented immediately:

1. Initiatives on all educational levels
2. Improvement of the system of research support (promotion) for Austria and especially the biotech community
3. Courageous capital market initiatives and general conditions supporting economic growth
